Nearly all of the Southwest is general public land, and pretty much any where you go you'll find a path. All the Countrywide Parks present a range of trails, from straightforward, paved walks to challenging hikes. Most of the trails while in the Nationwide Forests are well-marked and traverse prolonged distances, perfect for right away backpacking.
